Excellent home cinema projectorSummary - I wanted to get started on home cinema, and have found this more than good enough!
Before buying this projector i read some reviews of various other DLP projectors and more expensive LCD units. I also tested a sightly more expensive (than this) DLP but although the colours and picture were good, during slow panning shots, the flicker/judder was just too much for me.
So I bought the Epson and hooked it up to my PS3, with sound routed from the PS3 to an old micro system via an optical audio cable. The projector doesn't seem to offer audio out but has a small speaker set up, which I've just used for testing sound and won't bother with otherwise. I'm projecting onto a blank off-white wall.
i've had it for a few days now and played blu ray, dvd, video games and tv on demand through it, and I am very pleased with the results all round, in a day-lit room or with the lights down in the evening. I'm sure you can spend a lot more and get something...
